About Elle Marie

Elle Marie O Dwyer hails from the village of Freemount in North Cork. Her unique voice and her captivating traditional style have helped her to become one of the most recognised traditional singers of her generation.

Singing since a young age, she has many All Ireland titles and accolades to her name. Elle Marie released her debut album “Where the Allow Waters Flow” in August 2012, followed by “A Roving Heart” in 2014. Since then, she has acquired a further two albums to her name- "On a Day Like This (2017) and her most recent release "Reimagined" (2022). Elle Marie has performed on stages all over the world and shared performances with some of the best in the business, including Seán Keane, Cherish the Ladies and world-renowned accordion player Liam O Connor.

While Elle Marie is happiest when recording and performing, she also teaches traditional singing to children across Munster and encourages the next generation to carry on the old ballads which Elle Marie holds very close to her heart. Her pupils have enjoyed much success at all-Ireland Fleadhanna Cheoil over the last number of years and as a result, she is in high demand as a traditional singing teacher.
